About us

The Program

Lincoln-Sudbury Youth Wrestling is a nonprofit, volunteer-run club that introduces students in kindergarten through 8th grade to amateur folkstyle wrestling. We are the feeder program for the L-S Warriors high school team and one of more than 75 clubs in the Massachusetts Wrestling Association. Wrestling is open to boys and girls, and no prior experience is required.

What a season looks like

Practices run three nights a week for grades 4–8 and one night a week for K–3, at the L-S wrestling room. Expect warm-ups, technique, live wrestling and a lot of encouragement.

Scrimmages are optional Saturday-morning events with other local clubs. No standings, no team scores, no wins or losses recorded. Just mat time. We encourage every wrestler to attend, whatever their experience level.

Dual meets happen on regular practice nights against neighboring clubs like Waltham and Wayland. Coaches match wrestlers by weight, experience and age so everyone gets a bout, and team scores are kept.

Tournaments run across New England from December through March. Coaches pick the right ones for each wrestler and talk it through with families before anyone signs up.
